What do I mean by Art Education? Art—like Nature— and its infinite, beautiful forms, often end up arousing in us a desire for the Beyond. But how can we seek that Beyond, beyond matter? Through a healthy education that begins with the universal imagination, which can be easily found in art as well as in plants, animals, and the elements, helping us to reconnect with our deepest self. Because it is there, in that darkness, that the true and purest and most intimate knowledge lies: the only knowledge capable of broadening visions and strengthening creativity. Talents —and with them, potential —, nourished by light, at that point, will find the path to liberation in an unrestrained flow of the spirit.
In this process of liberation, Art Education, conceived as a lifelong and transversal education, when also combined with Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, and Theater of the Oppressed, is one of the best techniques for unveiling inner beauty—emotional, mental, spiritual, aesthetic, and ethical – in anyone.
In the video (alongside or below), I share some of the methods I use during my Art Education Programs. My gentle and nonjudgmental method is a perfect method to help anyone is ready to become aware of themselves and overcome their inner blocks and overturning self-sabotage, which is only a bad habit that needs to be re-educated.
I also bring my loving, transversal approach (bridging literature, spirituality, philosophy, history, and art history), to the solo or group exhibitions of contemporary artists that I curate.
